After the birth of son Max it was pretty quiet around the female singer. But now Christina is back to being slim and back in the business. She’s been working really hard on a new record and soon a second perfume of hers called “inspire” will come out. Beau Monde flew first class to New York to talk to Christina and to admire her sharp stiletto’s.

There’s a very tall black man in a suit – real Hollywood – and when he steps a side there’s not only light but also Christina Aguilera. The female singer lays on a white lounge sofa in a penthouse suite of the Rivington, Lower East Side hotel in Manhattan, New York. The room is all white, with some purple pillows and transparent scales with pink flowers on them. An almost peaceful room where the colourful Christina (with an aqua colour dress from Pucci and silver sharp stiletto’s from Christian Louboutin.. which she’s claims she could easily run on ) immediately caught my eye. She has a lot of make-up on with dark purple nail polish on her toes, red nail polish on her fingernails and purple/red lipstick on her lips. The female singer wears striking jewellery from Steven Webster: especially the big ring shaped as a spider, where the paws are as big as 3 fingers noticed me. Just as her huge décolleté. Thanks to breast feeding for baby Max, whispered the blonde diva. “My breasts are hysterical. Ever since I got pregnant, I had a E-cup. I save all the labels from my bra. For later, as evidence”.

BACK TO SIZE 2

Like every celebrity, Christina got her figure back after only 4 months after she delivered Max. The almost twenty kilo’s she gained are disappeared from her hips and belly thanks to a 5 day, 90 minutes work out with her personal trainer Tee Sorge, he’s the one who takes care after Christina for 3 years now. “40 minutes cardio, 40 minutes fitness and 10 minutes stretching. I begin to work out when my doctor gave me the green light, 6 weeks after the C-section ”. The singer didn’t complain, she wanted to work out so badly. “I was so exited, it made a huge difference because I didn’t eat too much during my pregnancy. Although I did bury myself in candy at the end: from Starburst to Skittles, you name it, I eaten it. I even had a picture taken of myself in white lingerie, with my bare belly all surrounded with candy that I liked when I was in my last weeks of the pregnancy ”. Now a days she wears a size 2, sometimes a size 4 (= extra extra small up to extra small). “Before the pregnancy I had a smaller size: a size 1 or 2. I don’t care anymore, I still feel like extra small. My goal the last months wasn’t about getting to fit in a certain size, but I wanted to fit in my jeans: a really nice pair of Hysteric Glamour, I bought it right before I got pregnant”. Although she feels in heaven when she can wear that pair of jeans, the fact that you can’t snack is hell, she confesses. “It’s all between the ears, but it’s so hard. Especially to turn down those late night snacks, because I’m a night person”. She defines herself as a “sociable” eater. “When I just engaged I put on quit some pounds, if you’re happy you want to be social, complete with tasty snacks. I love comfort food from the south: steak, roasted chicken, baked potatoes and macaroni with cheese”.

INSPIRED BY TOKIO

Now a days Christina doesn’t only have her figure back, but also her busy schedule. She is busy busy busy. With her new album coming out ánd her new perfume, Inspire (it’s her second perfume). “It’s a sexy and tough flavour. It’s all about sexappeal and feel great in your own skin”. The flavour is a combination of musk and her favourite flowers: Tuberose, freesia and gardenia. “Flowers always gave me a great feeling all through my life and I love the sexy, a bit provocative smell of the perfume. You also can find the musk flavour with a lot of men eau de toilettes, that’s way I like to smell my husband perfume”. She’s a perfectionist, the singer was involved with every detail of the “Inspire” creation. “Not only the flavour it self but also the package and the bottle. The bottle needed to have a female coloured shaped bottle and it needed to fit perfectly in the hand. The package as well as the bottle are inspired by Tokio, my favourite city.

Especially late night Tokio is very special: with all it’s colours, the tension that always seems to be there, the energetic vibe”. Her own perfume, the second already, is a dream come true and a honour for Christina, who was fascinated by cosmetics from when she was a little girl. “I’m a real girly-girly type, the type that always sats on her mother dressing table – which actually was forbidden – and played with her perfumes and lipsticks. Since my toddler time I have a love relationship with make-up”. She would never leave her mansion – former Beverly Hills mansion of the Osbourne’s - without perfume and make-up on. “Even when I’m at work in a recording studio or go to the gym, I always wear my red lipstick on from Dior. That’s way Christina hopes – with her famous smile- everybody will go and buy her perfume. “During my pregnancy I noticed I got a lot sensitiver about smell and about how other people in my surroundings smelled. Because you’ll never know with who you’re going to sit in a room with, maybe that someone has a sensitive nose as I have, that’s why you better play it safe and spray some perfume on instead of saying sorry because you don’t smell so nice”.

BLIND CONFIDENCE

Before her perfume ever saw it’s daylight, the female singer tested the flavour on her husband, the music producer Jordan Bratman. “His and other loved ones remarks and criticism are very important to me. They don’t decide, because eventually I make the decisions but it is important to me what they think”. When Christina talks about her husband her eyes are shining, something her fans didn’t expect when she started to date him simply because Jordan isn’t the most beautiful man in showbiz land.

“He attracted to me, because he was himself. Jordan isn’t a man who has an air about him or pretends someone he’s not. Men sometimes feel threatened of ambitious, successful women who make their own money. Jordan is nothing like that, he isn’t impressed by powerful women. I thought his confidence was refreshing and sexy. Just like his passion: I’m also very passionate and ambitious and was looking for this is in a future husband”. Christina isn’t afraid of her husband turning into a person as her dad was, who abused her. “He would never hurt me or my children”. Which brings us to someone she loves: Max. “ It’s so touching to see someone who you and the one you love created. A living, breathing creature. Max has so much confidence in us, it’s very moving. Although it still feels weird that I’m the only person who can give him food”. She emphasises that as much as she loves her husband and child she won’t never disregard herself. For no one. Christina: Max and Jordan are definitely my number one in my life but I also want to have time for myself, for massages and for my diary. Only than I can give myself completely”. She sounds a bit like Oprah: “If you don’t take care of yourself first, you can’t take care of other people”. And if she said the magic word, the big black bodyguard appears with an PR-lady to let me know that my time with miss. Aguilera is up. We get a bottle of Inspire with us which we spray in the black design elevator of this glamour’s hotel. We hope to smell the (very nice!) tuberose, freesia, gardenia and musk mix on us just like Christina and become just as sexy and confident as she is. And also to run on our Louboutins shoes through New York with any pain.
